The Choro Trail “Chukura” is situated within the national park of Cotapata in a gorgeous path where we can observe a huge variety of landscapes. From the Summit at approximate 5.000 meters above sea level down to the hot valleys of Yungas at 1.300 meters above sea level. Archaeologically rich and exuberant in a remarkable environment.
08:00 am Departure from La Paz in public transportation to La Cumbre 4700 m. (40 min.)
The trek starts down the road of the Inca, we walk through Chucura and at 17:00 we arrive at Challapampa (2800 m.) where we set up the tents where we spend the night. That walk lasts about 7 hours. The guide prepares a good dinner what we eat approx at 7:30 p.m.

08:00 am departure from the camp and walk (approx. 8hrs) to San Francisco, you will go through a beautiful landscape where you’ll see a variety of vegetation.
The 2nd night we spent in Sandillani (2100 m.), where we set up the tents again. Here its possible to pay 60 Bs extra to be able to sleep in a hostel. The guide prepares the dinner and then we rest so that we can start the 3rd day with strength.

08:00 am departure from San Francisco to Chairo (4hrs down to 1300 m.) From Chairo you will be able to take transportation to reach Coroico (1500 m.)

Passage Coroico – La Paz (since it is not known if the tourists stay for some more days or they will return the same day). The prices of the tickets from Coroico to La Paz on monday-friday are up to 18 Bs and on weekends up to Bs 30.
